Bought: Secret Agent Sarrah

Well, after years of hoodies and sweaters, I finally bought a real life coat for the cooler Autumn and Winter months ahead.  :)

Winter coat: Torrid

This picture does not do it any sort of justice, though.  It's more of a dark charcoal and has a nice texture to it.

I like that it is warm without being TOO warm since winters in Atlanta, GA are fairly mild (compared to northern MN where I grew up).  It also has nice deeeeep pockets.  So far, I've gotten to wear it once this season.  :P

It also finally gave me a place to wear some of the pins I've gotten recently.

Lapel pins: Creepy Company

I've had these for a while but just couldn't figure out a good way to style them with the way I normally dress.  I even tried some of Mutant Stomp Friends awesome suggestions but I don't dress the same way. :)  I'm a lot less creative with my fashion sense. LOL

The hearse has a hidden details that makes me giggle, though.

What creative things do you do with pins/buttons/badges?  I need ideas! :)

  1. I use pins to pin a scarf to my shirt or dress so they don't slip or fall off. You can make interesting draping with pins also.

  2. The coat makes you look like an mib lol. Those are some funky pins to customise the jacket. Unfortunately, where I live I've already got my marshmallow coat on. Saying we've had a few mild winters butI think thia year is going to be exceptionally cold.

  3. Warning: This blog post will self-destruct in 10 seconds.

I rarely wear pins on my clothes. I usually use them to decorate my bags/purses.

    1. That's what I used to do, too, until I got my recent bags. Now I'm just at a loss. :P

  6. When I do stuff with pins/patches, it tend to me a theme, rather just random bands or movies that I like. Currently working a vampire themed biker jacket :)

  8. The hearse pin is too funny! :D It's great that your coat has big pockets. So many ladies' coats have tiny, useless pockets.

    1. That's always been my complaint, too. I had a London Fog when I was a late teen and because it was a men's coat, it had lots of INSIDE pockets. It was nice!

  9. Ooo, that fabric looks wonderful! I love pins, but I don't get to wear them much anymore. Since I moved to Texas I've been living in flowing summer tops, skirts without stockings, and lighter shoes. I hate it.

    1. I'm with you! My season for a coat is very short here in Atlanta so I take advantage while I can. At least you don't have too much longer in TX!
